SYRACUSE, NEW YORK – The Katko for Congress campaign today announced that the New York State Reform Party has once again endorsed Congressman John Katko in his campaign for re-election in the 24th Congressional District.
The New York State Reform Party issued the following statement in endorsement of Congressman Katko, “At a time when public cynicism is at an all-time high and confidence in government is at an all-time low, Congressman Katko represents the best aspects of government today. He’s a public servant in the truest sense of the word. Not only does he deliver for his constituents, but he has demonstrated independence and a willingness to stand up to special interests. A vote for him on the Reform Party line isn’t just a vote for a great Congressman, it’s an opportunity to send a message with your vote.”
“It is my honor to receive the strong support of the Reform Party,” said Congressman Katko.“When I first ran for Congress, I left a 20-year career as a federal prosecutor because I was frustrated with the inaction in Washington and knew that if I wanted to see real change for my children and for future generations that I needed to get off the sidelines and do something about it. Since being elected to represent New York’s 24th Congressional District, I’ve fought through that gridlock and dysfunction to deliver bipartisan results for our community. Because of that record, I’m honored and humbled to have once again received the support of the New York State Reform Party. I share their commitment to working across party lines to get things done, addressing our nation’s growing deficit, and ensuring greater transparency in government.”
The Reform Party of New York State represents the interests of voters who are concerned with out-of-control spending, growing budget deficits, an unsustainable national debt, as well as gross mismanagement in government and unethical behavior from elected representatives. The Reform Party believes that our government functions best when it lives within its means, sets reasonable and common-sense objectives and implements sound policy.
